A syrup soaking bottle and syrup is a great way to moisten dry cakes. So what if you already have a great cake? Then using syrup can make them even sweeter and even more moist!
What is syrup?
Syrup is basically sugar and water.
Here's how you do it.
1. Add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan over a medium heat.
2. Stir to disolve the sugar not letting the mixture boil.
3. Once disolved, remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
4. Pour into the Loyal soaking bottle and use as much as is required.
Sugar and water simply make the cake moister and sweeter but if you're adventurous try adding fruit, herbs, liqueurs, cream, tea, coffee, juices or essences to create your very own unique flavour.
Increasing your sugar ratio will thicken the syrup.
You can always store your syrup in the fridge when done.
